Colfax Area Veterans Memorial Project
The Colfax Area Veterans Memorial Project is a joint effort by the Colfax Veterans of Foreign Wars California Post 2003, the American Legion Colfax Post 192 District #7, and the Colfax Area Historical Society, all located in Colfax, Placer County, California, to remember Veterans buried in the Colfax District Cemetery, the Colfax Indian Cemetery, the Iowa Hill Cemeteries, other area cemeteries, as well as POW/MIAs, and other area veterans who were cremated or otherwise not buried in a cemetery. This is done using the resources of the Find a Grave site.
The goal of this project is that no local veteran will ever be forgotten.
Use the search box below to look for the memorial for a specific veteran in the Colfax Cemetery or all of Find a Grave, or view the list of virtual cemeteries for the project. There are virtual cemeteries for each war, branch of service, specific local cemetery, etc.
If you want us to post a flower and message to a Colfax Area veteran's memorial on your behalf, or want to let us know about a Colfax Area Veteran who is not yet in Find a Grave, please download, print, fill out, and mail the form below (the mailing address is on the form). If you include a self-addressed stamped envelope, a printout of the virtual memorial will be mailed to you.

You may also send us photos to be uploaded to a veteran's memorial. Please send copies of photos if possible, rather than originals, and write the veeran's name on the back. If you want us to return the photo(s) to you, include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
